Mark your calendars for the 37th Art in Gadsden reception and Awards Ceremony, one of the most popular events on the Gadsden County Tourist Development Council’s summer calendar. This opening night celebration takes place Friday, August 1, 2025, from 5:00-7:30pm at the Gadsden Arts Center & Museum in downtown Quincy, Florida.
Art in Gadsden Reception: An Evening of Awards and Community
Guests at the Art in Gadsden reception will be among the first to see all of the works selected for this year’s juried exhibition, before the show opens to the general public. A panel of independent jurors will announce category winners and present awards during a short ceremony, recognizing standout achievement in painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. Light refreshments are served throughout the evening, and many of the participating artists attend in person, giving visitors a rare chance to talk with the people behind the work on display.
The reception draws a lively mix of longtime Gadsden Arts Center supporters, first-time visitors, and artists from across the Florida Panhandle, making it one of the best nights of the year to experience Quincy’s growing arts scene firsthand.

Admission to this awards ceremony Quincy FL event is free for Gadsden Arts Center members and children 17 and under. Non-member adult admission is $5, and student admission is $3. The reception takes place inside the museum at 13 N Madison Street, in historic downtown Quincy, Florida, with the gallery open throughout the evening for browsing.
