Join us for a fascinating presentation by historian and author Dr. Kathryn L. Beasley, whose research explores the remarkable story of Eulalia Stephens and the Havana Canning Company. Dr. Beasley earned her Ph.D. from Florida State University and developed much of her research using resources from the museum. Her presentation will highlight the entrepreneurial spirit of rural Southern women and the important role they played in shaping our local history.
The presentation is free and open to the public, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Beasley and learn more about Havana’s rich agricultural and cultural heritage.
