Burned Beard Brewing

LOCATION INFORMATION
LOCATION INFORMATION

Gadsden County’s only craft brewery and taproom, Burned Beard Brewing is a one-of-a-kind dining and drinking destination tucked inside a beautifully restored turn-of-the-19th-century historic building at 10 N. Adams Street in downtown Quincy, Florida. Owned and operated by the husband-and-wife team of Roger and Bridgette Rankin, Burned Beard Brewing brings together handcrafted beer, bold food, and an irresistibly laid-back atmosphere in a setting that is equal parts neighborhood gathering spot, live music venue, and culinary destination.

The Rankins’ story is one of genuine entrepreneurial grit and community commitment. Roger launched Rankin Tacos as a food truck in 2017, building a devoted local following on family recipes and authentic flavors before expanding to a brick-and-mortar location in Tallahassee. When the opportunity arose to bring something truly new to Quincy, the Rankins jumped at the chance — taking on the challenge of restoring a century-old historic structure in downtown Quincy and transforming it into what is now one of Gadsden County’s most exciting new attractions.

At the heart of the experience is the nano brewery — a small-batch, one-barrel brewing system producing handcrafted beers with bold North Florida personality. House brews include the fan-favorite SwishBurghs, the locally named QuincI-PA (a hazy, hop-forward IPA also known as the Hazy River IPA), and a rotating selection of seasonal and specialty releases. The tap list is complemented by a thoughtfully curated selection of guest craft beers from Florida and beyond, ensuring there’s always something new to discover on tap.

The kitchen menu is a natural extension of the Rankins’ roots — focused, flavorful, and executed with the kind of care that comes from years of cooking for a loyal crowd. Guests can expect original Rankin Tacos recipes, handcrafted smash burgers, pizzas, fresh salads, and loaded fries — all made in-house and paired perfectly with a cold pint. Dine-in, outdoor seating, and curbside pickup are all available, making Burned Beard Brewing a flexible destination for any kind of visit.

With Trivia Night on Tuesdays, live music events, and a carefree vibe that keeps guests lingering well past the first round, Burned Beard Brewing is building a culture as much as a business. A 96% recommendation rating from over 314 Facebook reviews speaks to what guests already know: this is the kind of place Quincy has been waiting for. Open Tuesday through Saturday, Burned Beard Brewing is a must-visit on any Gadsden County itinerary — and the kind of craft brewery near Tallahassee that earns a dedicated return trip.
