LOCATION INFORMATION
For mountain bikers, trail runners, and hikers seeking an exhilarating off-road experience in Gadsden County, the W.D. Lines Trail System is the destination of choice. This 8-mile network of dedicated trails is located within the Lake Talquin State Forest, threading through the Talquin Loop (blue) and the Longleaf Loop (orange) — offering a diverse and challenging terrain experience unlike anything else in North Florida.
The trail takes cyclists through pine flatwoods and sandhill communities on the northern portions, grading into hardwood and floodplain forests along the scenic shoreline of Lake Talquin. Moderate obstacles — low clearances, logs, quick turns, and tight passages between trees — are intentionally incorporated to enhance the ride and reward skilled riders.
Located near Ingram’s Marina, Bear Creek Educational Forest, and Pat Thomas Park, the W.D. Lines Trails are part of a remarkable cluster of outdoor destinations in the Lake Talquin corridor that make this corner of Gadsden County one of North Florida’s premier outdoor recreation hubs.
